Playing the flute and composing music has been the way I place myself in the world for almost thirty years. I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and my background is eclectic, I studied the flute and composition in Brazilian and Belgian universities; I also studied and performed music from the streets of my homeland.

For many years I performed as a guest musician with symphony orchestras and different chamber music groups in Brazil, Europe and Latin America. I also had the pleasure of playing and recording with musicians who are a reference for me like Egberto Gismonti, Zeca Assumpção and Itibere Zwarg. These different experiences with classical and non-classical music inspired me to form a group to play my own compositions, which I was very happy to do between 2002 and 2011, performing throughout Brazil, Cuba, and other countries in Latin America.

In 2012 I moved to Belgium where I was lucky to have my music played by inspiring musicians such as conductor Ivan Meylemans and the KU-Leuven Symphony Orchestra, pianist Ashot Katchatourian, flutist Berten D'Hollander and the Equinox project with whom I worked invited by pianist Maria Joao Pires from 2012 to 2020.

My work with social action projects in Brazil and Belgium made me understand empirically that music can be an incomparable instrument of social integration, expression, and self-discovery for people in all layers of society. In recent years, my composition and my performance seek to achieve this essential role of the artist in society: to create environments that favor a common subjective ground between different people, with different beliefs, stories, and sorrows.

This website intends to show the work I've been doing during the years, a bit of my musical research and to favor contact, so feel free get in touch and thank you very much for visiting!
